Prize announcement

Whether or not you can attend this weekend's #pawpawty here is a prize draw for you to enter. Many of you entered the prize draw for an adopted donkey a couple of months ago and I was sorry that we couldn't give it to everyone because you were all so supportive of the idea. So I would like to give everyone another chance to win a donkey for a year. The donkey will be one of those who live at the Isle of Wight donkey sanctuary, have a look and meet the donkeys that you could adopt.

http://www.iwdonkey-sanctuary.com/adopt.html

The donkey's are all so lovable you will not want to resist, but don't worry the donkey sanctuary will continue to look after your donkey. You will get a certificate of adoption with your name on and news letters about the donkeys.

To enter just make a comment on this blog entry letting us know why you would like to adopt a donkey. As you know I would never be able to choose a winner so the winning entry will be selected at random on the Monday morning following the #pawpawty and announced on Twitter and this blog and well as letting the winner know personally.

I hope lots of people will enter and I wish you could all win.

To find out more about the #pawpawty visit Dougal's blog http://www.pawpawty.com hope to see you all there.

Come on and enter the donkey's are waiting.

If you are not able to leave a comment on the blog please DM me on Twitter with your comment.

  1. Hi Kolo!!
After giving this a lot of thought I think it would be nice to be furends with a donkey. I know lots of other animals but no donkey's.
Will they donkey be on twitter too? Oh maybe he isn't a tweeting donkey. Well in that case I would be happy and honoured to help out a pal.
    Thanks Kolo!!

  3. Oh this is such a nice idea again friend. I'd be honored to adopt a donkey. They has an indepenent streak just like us kitties. We'd probably get along great, and I could take a donkey ride. FUN!

  4. If I'm chosen I'll have mom's 5 year old nephew adopt the donkey. He has fish but he's not allowed to have mammals! This would give him a nice connection to a real animal!

Besides me. And Wynnie. And Roni (who recently passed away). And Annie. =^..^=

Brandy could come and visit me, as we have a neat backyard and plenty of carrots!!! Or I will go on a tiny boaty, to get to the Isle of Wight!!! This is a pawsome thing to do, Kolo!!! BIG HUGS at you!!! :-)

  8. Comment from @bdgrlaw My kitties were born in London, so I think it would be great for them to have a brother in the UK. Seriously, we must support sanctuaries who ensure that animals have a home.

  9. We are 4 woofers who live in Lancashire. We are good friends with the horses who live in the field next to our house, so we think add a donkey to our extended family would be no hardship to any of us!!

  10. Oh, this is a fantabyoolous idea, Kolo!! If we wure to have Mr. Donkie we wuld ask it how it got it's ears so big and furry. Than we wuld ask Mr. donkie to help us carry large amounts of kitteh food to an undisklosed "undur the bed" location and we would feed all the hungrie kittehs from the sekret "undur the bed location. Lastly, we wuldnt let anyone call Mr. Donkie an ass cause that's not vary nice.

  11. Hi Kolo,
I think I would like a donkey. If I had one, I would help him get the word out about the great work that the folks at the Isle of Wight donkey sanctuary do fur the donkeys. Kinda like yer doin', dude. Great job!

  12. Comment from @Justanothertrnd DUSTY: We love all kinds of anipals. To have a Donkey in family would thrill me, Hurley, and Chick-Chick. We'd spread the word about Isle of Wight Donkeys and hope that more anipal families would adopt a Donkey. HeeHaw, wouldn't that be grand? HURLEY: I'd be gentle to my Donkey.

  15. We have all sorts of pets that live with us and we'd love a donkey but it would have to be one that someone else looked after because it's getting crowded here.

  17. ohhhh I always wanted a pony but momma said one dog,two kitties, a parrot and two hungry turtles are plenty for one house.
But the donkey will still live at his house!
If I win, I will be sure momma makes him his own twitter acct and lets him tweet with us...
Then everyone can get to know him and help him and his donkey friends find forever homes!!
